San Francisco is one of the best cities in the nation for cycling. Bicyclists come from all over the country to see Half Moon Bay and Kirby Cove. However, there were 316 bicycle accidents in 2021 alone. As California works to decrease bicycle accidents by adding more protected bike lanes and raising awareness for bicycle safety, there is an opportunity for creativity in making the roads safer for bicyclists in San Francisco. In approximately 500 words, describe a new and creative way to reduce bicycle accidents or improve cyclist safety in San Francisco. This could include new laws, safety products, or awareness initiatives that aren’t widely in place. The winners will be chosen based on the creativity of the product or solution and how well-written their essays are. Deadline for submissions: August 31, 2023 Winners will be selected by September 30, 2023.
